The FairPlay sportsbook is built around the sports people actually watch in India. Cricket leads it, but football, kabaddi, tennis and esports all carry full pre-match and in-play books, and the exchange sits alongside them for anyone who would rather set their own price.
Sports and competitions
Pre-match markets open days ahead of a fixture and stay live until the first ball, whistle or serve. In-play markets then run for the duration of the event.
- Cricket — IPL, international tours, T20 franchise leagues, domestic first-class and ODI competitions.
- Football — Indian Super League, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Champions League and major international tournaments.
- Kabaddi — full season coverage with match, half and margin markets.
- Tennis — all four Grand Slams plus the ATP and WTA tours, down to game and set level.
- Basketball, esports and horse racing — NBA and EuroLeague, the main CS and Dota circuits, and racing from Indian and international tracks.
- Virtual sports — simulated fixtures running every few minutes when nothing live is on.
Betting on cricket and the IPL
Cricket gets the deepest book on the site. Beyond the match winner you will find:
- Top batter and top bowler for each side
- Total match runs, innings runs and team totals
- Session and over lines, updated ball by ball
- Fall of next wicket, method of dismissal and next-delivery markets
- Toss result, powerplay totals and highest opening partnership
- Outright winner, top run scorer and top wicket taker across a tournament
During the IPL the in-play book runs continuously through both innings, with prices reacting to every wicket and boundary.
The FairPlay exchange: back and lay
On the exchange you are matched against other players rather than against a house price. That changes what you can do with a bet.
- Back — you bet that something will happen, in the usual way.
- Lay — you bet that it will not happen, taking the other side. Your liability is the amount you would pay out if it does.
- Set your own odds — request a price and wait for someone to match it, rather than accepting what is offered.
- Trade out — place an opposing bet later in the match to lock in a profit or reduce a loss before the result is known.
Commission is charged on net winnings in a market, not on turnover. The rate is shown on the market before you confirm a bet.
New to laying? Start with small stakes on a two-outcome market, where the liability is easy to picture, before moving to markets with many possible results.
Live betting
In-play prices refresh continuously. A short acceptance delay applies to every live bet — a few seconds during which the price is re-checked — which protects the market from bets placed on information that has already moved on. If the price has shifted in that window you are asked to confirm again rather than being matched at a stale number.
Cash out is offered on most in-play markets. It settles the bet immediately at the current value, which will be less than the full return if your selection is winning, and more than nothing if it is losing.
Limits, settlement and rules
- Maximum stake and maximum payout vary by sport and market, and are displayed on the bet slip.
- Settlement follows the official result from the governing body. Corrections are applied if a result is later amended.
- Abandoned, postponed or shortened matches are voided or settled according to the sport-specific rules linked from each market.
- Bets placed on a market that was priced in error may be voided; the circumstances are set out in the betting rules.
Betting questions
What is the difference between the sportsbook and the exchange?
The sportsbook offers a price set by FairPlay. The exchange matches you against other players, so you can request your own odds, lay an outcome, and trade out of a position mid-match. Commission applies to exchange winnings; sportsbook prices already include the margin.
Can I cancel a bet after placing it?
Matched bets cannot be cancelled. Unmatched exchange orders can be withdrawn at any time before someone takes the other side. Where cash out is available, it is the practical way to exit a matched position early.
Why was my live bet not accepted?
Live bets go through a short acceptance delay. If the price moves during it, the bet is returned to you for confirmation at the new odds rather than being matched at the old ones.
When do winnings appear in my balance?
As soon as the market is settled, which is usually within minutes of the official result. Markets that depend on confirmed statistics can take longer.
